The ELL Paraprofessional in Holyoke Public Schools plays a vital role in supporting English Learners (ELs) by providing academic and language assistance in both the ESL/SLIFE program and inclusion classrooms. This position involves working closely with students, facilitating small-group instruction, and delivering individualized interventions when necessary. Bilingual staff may have the opportunity to receive additional compensation for assisting families.
Responsibilities- Provide academic and language support to students in the ESL/SLIFE program.
- Assist English Learners in inclusion classrooms.
- Work with students on class assignments in small-group settings.
- Deliver one-on-one interventions as needed.
- Support families if bilingual, with potential for additional pay.
- Associate's degree, 48 college credits, or completion of the Work Keys assessment.
- Proficiency in English.
- Experience working with children, particularly English Language Learners.
- Multilingual abilities.
Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $18.50 to $23.50 FT10
