Role Overview

As a School‑Based Behavior Technician, you’ll support students in educational settings by implementing ABA strategies under BCBA supervision. You’ll work closely with teachers, support staff, and clinical supervisors to promote skill development, behavioral regulation, and meaningful participation in the school day.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide 1:1 and small‑group behavioral support to students
  • Implement behavior intervention strategies and treatment plans
  • Support skill development related to communication, behavior, and learning readiness
  • Collect accurate behavioral data and session documentation
  • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and clinical supervisors
  • Support students during transitions, routines, and challenging moments
  • Maintain professionalism within school environments

Pay Information

Hourly Rate: $20.00-$28.00

Starting pay is based on education, experience, and bilingual skills. Additional compensation may be considered for prior ABA experience, RBT certification, or fluency in languages that support the students and families we serve.

Qualifications & Essential Job Functions
  • Minimum age of 18
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including:
  • Lifting and carrying up to 50lbs
  • Bending, kneeling, squatting, and transitioning throughout the school day
  • Responding appropriately to challenging behaviors (e.g., aggression, elopement)
  • Reliable transportation to assigned school sites
  • Valid driver's license and dependable attendance
  • Ability to follow behavior plans and classroom routines with consistency
  • No prior ABA experience required— we train you
Experience That Transfers Well
  • School or classroom support roles
  • Paraprofessional or instructional aide experience
  • Childcare or youth programs
  • Psychology, education, or human services coursework
  • Camp counselor or after‑school program experience
