7D Driver

Center School and Transportation Options have openings for 7D Drivers, providing specialized transportation services to special education students served by our schools – a great way to gain experience in the education field. Positions are per diem, Monday through Friday, up to 25 hours per week, and may lead to full‑time employment as an Interventionist with our private schools and school‑based programs.

No weekend work.

• Safely and courteously transports students and other staff members as assigned, utilizing the transportation environment as an extension of the classroom. Engages students in meaningful conversations and activities as appropriate. Most runs are early morning and late afternoon.
• Assists students in boarding and exiting the vehicle and ensures safety restraints are utilized per state law.
• Provides safe transportation of special education students to and from the educational setting based on assigned or covering routes; assists students to safely enter and exit the vehicle as needed, often with the assistance of a trained Monitor; operates vehicle in accordance with all Federal and State traffic regulations; completes all required documentation and record keeping; performs regular vehicle safety checks.

All candidates who are offered employment will be subject to screening through the following agencies: CORI, SORI, DCF, SAFIS (Fingerprinting).

Springdale Education Center (SEC) is an approved private school by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, providing a highly structured therapeutic year‑round day school with a range of services.
