Position: Energy Supply Analyst (Various Levels)

We are currently looking for a qualified candidate to fill a vacancy.

Position Overview:

This full-time, on-site position performs a variety of professional-level duties involving energy supply, rate analysis, financial analysis, and energy incentive programs. The Energy Supply Analyst assists with fuel procurement, energy pricing, risk management, and resource planning while analyzing wholesale markets, system loads, resources, competitive markets, and other variables to develop effective solutions.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Monitoring wholesale market activity and adapting to ISO-NE, NEPOOL, and FERC rule changes to optimize HG&E's assets and operations.
  • Reviewing and preparing monthly reports related to power supply, power purchase agreements, and ISO-NE settlement invoices.
  • Monitoring HG&E, regional, and system-wide loads to identify and optimize demand-based cost-saving opportunities.
  • Performing customer and utility meter data analysis for various operational and planning scenarios.
  • Coordinating peak-shaving activities involving both HG&E-owned resources and third-party assets.
  • Preparing monthly and annual reports to support internal program tracking and performance evaluation.
  • Performing other related duties as required.
