Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Activities Director to join our team. The Activities Assistant will play a vital role in planning, organizing, and leading recreational and therapeutic activities for our residents. This position offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of seniors while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in planning and implementing a diverse range of activities and programs designed to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of our residents.
  • Lead group activities such as games, arts and crafts, music therapy sessions, and exercise classes.
  • Provide one‑on‑one support and encouragement to residents who may require additional assistance or accommodations.
  • Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all participants, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and protocols.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to develop and implement individualized care plans for residents.
  • Document activity participation and resident progress as required.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Two year college degree preferred but not required.
  • Two (2) years experience in a social or recreation program within the last five (5) years, one (1) of which was full‑time in a patient activities program in a health care setting.
  • One year of management experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
