Lead Therapist, Inpatient

Job Type: Fulltime, Exempt

Valley Springs Behavioral Health Hospital, operated jointly with Lifepoint Behavioral Health and Baystate Health, offers compassionate, high‑quality inpatient and outpatient mental health and co‑occurring treatment for teens, adults, and seniors in a state‑of‑the‑art healing environment.

• Assist patients in meeting bio‑psychosocial needs and enable access to therapeutic treatment skills to achieve optimal emotional health.
• Provide individual counseling, group education, therapy, and support for psychological, emotional, or substance abuse problems.
• Develop and implement therapeutic treatment plans.
• Offer education, social work services, basic consultation, and crisis intervention.
• Refer patients to after‑care services.
• Supervise individual and group counseling and train new staff to maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Assist with monitoring and coaching staff for timely documentation and coordinate shift coverage.
• Disseminate information from DCS and/or management to therapists as assigned.

• Current state RN license and bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or equivalent.
• Current clinical or social work license as required by state regulations.
• CPR/BLS certification and handle‑with‑care certification within 30 days.
