Description:
We are seeking an experienced Speech Pathologist for a full-time contract assignment.
This role follows a day schedule of 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
Alternating weekend coverage is required.
The position offers a supportive team environment.
You will work in a well-established community hospital.
The average daily patient census is 15.
The facility has a total of 180 beds.
The patient age group consists of adults and geriatrics.
Weekend coverage includes hours from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays.
Call is required for this position.
You will work with patients diagnosed with conditions such as stroke and infectious respiratory disease.
The role requires skills in adult outpatient settings, particularly in dysphagia management.
You will conduct bedside swallow evaluations and modify diet orders as needed.
Knowledge of signs and symptoms of abuse is important for patient safety.
Documentation includes assessments, evaluations, and treatment plans.
Experience with charting systems is necessary, specifically Meditech.
You should be comfortable educating patients and families.
Candidates must have experience with patient ratios of 1:15.
Previous experience in a teaching or community hospital is preferred.
This position accepts first-time travelers.
