The Work Connection is looking for a detail-oriented Revenue Cycle & Billing Specialist to join our Occupational Health team. In this role, you'll be the backbone of our revenue cycle — ensuring billing accuracy, timely payment posting, and clean financial reporting from charge entry all the way through reconciliation.

You'll work closely with providers, front office staff, finance, and third-party payers to keep our billing process running smoothly, resolve discrepancies before they become problems, and help identify opportunities to strengthen revenue integrity across the department.

• Review and verify charges in the electronic medical record for completeness and accuracy
• Ensure services are billed according to contracted pricing and fee schedules
• Generate and review employer, Workers' Comp, and patient statements
• Process billing adjustments, corrections, credits, and approved write-offs
• Investigate and resolve rejected or returned invoices
• Accurately post payments from employers, self-pay clients, and third-party administrators
• Reconcile daily deposits and payment batches
• Research and resolve payment variances and unapplied payments
• Partner with Patient Accounts on appropriate posting of Workers' Comp payments

• Perform routine audits to ensure documentation supports billed charges
• Identify missed charges or revenue leakage through trend analysis
• Generate daily, weekly, monthly, and year-end revenue reports
• Support leadership with financial analysis, forecasting, and month-end close

• Serve as the primary billing point of contact for employer clients
• Maintain employer billing profiles and special pricing arrangements
• Ensure full compliance with HIPAA and applicable billing regulations

• Associate degree in Business, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3+ years of healthcare billing or revenue cycle experience
• Experience with occupational health, workers' compensation, or employer-based healthcare a plus
• Hands-on experience posting payments, reconciling accounts, and generating financial reports
• Electronic medical record experience required;
  Enterprise Health experience preferred
• Strong Excel skills and comfort working with reporting tools
• Sharp attention to detail with a knack for spotting discrepancies
• Excellent communication skills — you'll work with providers, finance, employers, and payers alike
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines with accuracy
