Position Summary:The Work Connection is looking for a detail-oriented Revenue Cycle & Billing Specialist to join our Occupational Health team. In this role, you'll be the backbone of our revenue cycle — ensuring billing accuracy, timely payment posting, and clean financial reporting from charge entry all the way through reconciliation.
You'll work closely with providers, front office staff, finance, and third-party payers to keep our billing process running smoothly, resolve discrepancies before they become problems, and help identify opportunities to strengthen revenue integrity across the department.

Responsibilities:- Review and verify charges in the electronic medical record for completeness and accuracy
- Ensure services are billed according to contracted pricing and fee schedules
- Generate and review employer, Workers' Comp, and patient statements
- Process billing adjustments, corrections, credits, and approved write-offs
- Investigate and resolve rejected or returned invoices
- Accurately post payments from employers, self-pay clients, and third-party administrators
- Reconcile daily deposits and payment batches
- Research and resolve payment variances and unapplied payments
- Partner with Patient Accounts on appropriate posting of Workers' Comp payments
- Perform routine audits to ensure documentation supports billed charges
- Identify missed charges or revenue leakage through trend analysis
- Generate daily, weekly, monthly, and year-end revenue reports
- Support leadership with financial analysis, forecasting, and month-end close
- Serve as the primary billing point of contact for employer clients
- Maintain employer billing profiles and special pricing arrangements
- Ensure full compliance with HIPAA and applicable billing regulations
- Associate degree in Business, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of healthcare billing or revenue cycle experience
- Experience with occupational health, workers' compensation, or employer-based healthcare a plus
- Hands-on experience posting payments, reconciling accounts, and generating financial reports
- Electronic medical record experience required;
Enterprise Health experience preferred - Strong Excel skills and comfort working with reporting tools
- Sharp attention to detail with a knack for spotting discrepancies
- Excellent communication skills — you'll work with providers, finance, employers, and payers alike
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines with accuracy
