Education:

Prior experience scheduling/staffing experience required.
License:
Valid driver’s license preferred

- Adheres to attendance requirements. Utilizes correct procedure for taking time off.
- Attends departmental and staff meetings as required.
- Is accountable and shows pride in work; strives to do more than the minimum required. Shows initiative and completes work in a timely and accurate manner.
- Acknowledge mistakes and demonstrates willingness to learn and correct them.
- Demonstrates passion & hustle in all work.
Prepares regular staffing schedules for nursing staff and posts schedule no less than two weeks prior to the start of the schedule.
Communicates schedule changes and other pertinent information to management and staff in a timely manner.
Serves as the central contact person for the nursing department for call offs, schedule changes, PTO scheduling.
Ensures coverage for both planned and unplanned schedule changes. Notifies appropriate management of discrepancies in staffing in a timely manner.
Monitors employee hours to minimize overtime.
Enters schedules/schedule changes into the payroll system.
Works with payroll to manage time entry to ensure proper and timely pay.
Works with management to maximize efficiencies in scheduling for the department.
Educates current and new staff on scheduling, communication methods and processes. For example, requesting time off, schedule changes, picking up shifts, holiday scheduling, etc.
Provides additional support to the hospital as directed.
