What we are seekingWe are seeking an experienced Software Development Supervisor with experience in AWS, Cloud Native Technologies, Kubernetes, Java, and SQL. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development and maintenance of our public website, SSO and enterprise platform applications. You will be managing a team of talented software engineers and ensuring the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget.
In addition to providing strategic direction and team leadership, you will also engage directly with the technology when needed. The ideal candidate thrives in an environment where they can actively contribute through hands‑on development and play a key role in diagnosing and resolving production issues. They also have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for innovation.

- Architect and design solutions using various AWS Services EKS, IAM, ECS, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, Dynamo
DB. - Lead talented engineering teams to build high quality and resilient web applications using java, SQL and front-end technologies following agile methodologies such as scrum and Kanban.
- Lead Dev Ops engineers in building state of the art CI/CD pipelines following industry best practices for automating infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment.
- Develop end to end solutions to implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for proactive system health monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Lead 24/7 on-call rotation in supporting mission critical applications in production
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime and ensure service reliability.
- Ensure all applications can be supported by all team members and key technical expertise is not concentrated amongst a small subset of staff.
- Keep team’s skills up to date to contend with the Digital Transformation.
- Lead by example promoting core IT Tenets.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on production issues and resolutions.
- Increase end-user satisfaction by monitoring and promoting quality and building relationships with key customers.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role
- 3+ years’ experience with AWS services (e.g., EKS, IAM, S3, ECS, Lambda, Dynamo
DB) - 3+ years’ experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes
- Ability to work outside of standard business hours as needed
- Desired not required:
- Experience working in a Dev Ops environment
- AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer)

The expected salary range for this position is $168,000 - $199,000 per year. This role is also eligible for an annual performance bonus, comprehensive health insurance (medical, dental and vision), flexible spending and health savings accounts, a 401(k) plan with generous employer contributions and a student debt benefit, life and AD&D insurance, disability insurance, critical illness and hospital indemnity benefits, paid time off, paid leave, a wellness program, an employee assistance program and other great company perks.
