Starting pay rate is $19, which will increase based on performance reviews.
Position OverviewUnited Innovations Inc. is seeking a motivated and hands‑on Production Manager Assistant to support operations across our manufacturing divisions, including Specialty Loose Leaf and Valley Etching & Engraving. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, enjoys problem‑solving, and is comfortable balancing office responsibilities with hands‑on production support.
The Production Manager Assistant will work closely with the Managing Director and Production Manager to help oversee daily operations, coordinate production activities, maintain quality standards, and ensure customer orders are completed accurately and on time.
This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, communication abilities, and a willingness to learn manufacturing processes, quality standards, and customer requirements.
Responsibilities- Assist in overseeing daily production operations across multiple manufacturing divisions
- Coordinate production schedules and help prioritize workflow to meet customer deadlines
- Work directly with the production floor team to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and accurately
- Learn and follow AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality procedures and standards
- Prepare and process Certificates of Conformance (COCs)
- Prepare and manage Advance Shipping Notifications (ASNs)
- Review and assist in preparing Requests for Quotes (RFQs) and customer bids
- Assist with inventory management and monitoring stock levels
- Order materials, supplies, and parts as needed
- Communicate with vendors and customers regarding orders, timelines, and production requirements
- Maintain production records and documentation
- Support quality control efforts and ensure compliance with customer specifications
- Assist with general operational and facility‑related tasks as needed
- Work hand‑in‑hand with management to ensure all areas of production are running smoothly
- Previous manufacturing, production, operations, or administrative experience preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities
- Comfortable working both in an office setting and on the production floor
- Ability to learn technical manufacturing and quality procedures
- Experience with inventory systems, purchasing, or customer/vendor communication is a plus
- Knowledge of AS9100 or ISO 9001 is a plus, but willing to train the right candidate
- Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to work independently while also functioning as part of a team
