• Setting: Psychiatric Adolescent Unit (behavioral health, adolescent mental health)
• Employment Type: Travel, Full-Time (Travel RN / Massachusetts travel nursing jobs)
• Shift: Days (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM); includes every other weekend and every other holiday
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Duration: 13 weeks (March 16, 2026 – June 15, 2026)
• Shift Duration: 8-hour days
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2,250-$2,370/week

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Massachusetts
• Minimum 1 year psychiatric nursing experience required (adolescent psychiatric or inpatient behavioral health experience preferred)
• Experience with adolescent psychiatric care, substance use inpatient care preferred
• Current CPR certification required
• Strong critical thinking, crisis management, and de-escalation skills
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) — experience with inpatient charting preferred
• Ability and willingness to float to similar or lower-acuity units and serve as charge nurse when needed
• Effective communication and teamwork skills for multidisciplinary behavioral health settings

• Provide direct and indirect nursing care to adolescent patients and their families/legal guardians in a psychiatric inpatient setting
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment consistent with behavioral health and trauma-informed care principles
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop, implement, and document individualized treatment plans
• Demonstrate effective crisis intervention, de-escalation techniques, and recovery-oriented approaches
• Serve as charge nurse and float to other units as required to support unit staffing and patient care
• Participate in ongoing professional development, team-building, and quality improvement initiatives

• Work with a supportive multidisciplinary behavioral health team focused on adolescent mental health
