Responsibilities- Under the direction of the RN/Provider, provide wound-related patient care following Basic Life Support (BLS) and hospital protocols.
- Assist in vein clinic as assigned after completing Healogics Vein Clinic training; may assist with intake and discharge.
- Assist with case management under RN direction in accordance with state regulations.
- Gather patient information and collect necessary equipment and supplies for RN or Provider.
- Report quality of care issues to the Clinical Nurse Manager.
- Communicate with all team members regarding therapeutic interventions to ensure quality of care.
- Perform hyperbaric oxygen therapy duties as needed after completing required Healogics hyperbaric training.
- May perform hyperbaric safety director duties after completing required training.
- Function as a Documentation Assistant (scribe) following Healogics policy.
- Perform other duties as delegated.
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED).
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program or a state‑approved educational program.
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the state of practice; maintain throughout employment.
- Two (2) or more years’ experience as LPN/LVN, including at least one (1) year in a SNF or LTACH setting.
- Wound care experience preferred.
- Demonstrated competency in BLS.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and time‑management skills.
- Basic knowledge of regulatory and accrediting requirements for healthcare organizations.
- Strong interpersonal, listening, oral, and written communication skills.
- Customer service and follow‑up skills.
- Ability to multi‑task and work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to work with others in a team environment.

- Ability to stay calm in all situations.
- Working knowledge of computerized nursing systems.
- Being in a stationary position for extended periods (4 hours or more).
- Viewing computer screen for extended periods (4 hours or more).
- Keying frequently on a computer for 4 hours or more.
- Reading, communicating, writing.
- Color perception; close, distance and peripheral vision.
- Moving items up to 20 pounds independently; up to 75 pounds with equipment assistance.
- Pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching/grasping.
- Normal office and patient care environment, primarily indoors.
- Exposure to hazards such as blood‑borne pathogens, toxic chemicals, flammable gases, mechanical equipment, and moving objects.
The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $25.89 and $34.10 per hour. This range is an estimate based on qualifications, geography, and operational needs.
