Perioperative Nurse Educator (Full-Time)

We are seeking a full-time Perioperative Nurse Educator to lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs that promote clinical excellence and professional growth across perioperative and procedural areas. This role partners closely with nursing leadership and staff to assess learning needs, develop competencies, and support the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Education
• Program Development
• Design, implement, and evaluate educational programs for the Operating Room, Pre-Op, PACU, and Pre-admission.
• Develop and deliver comprehensive orientation and ongoing in-service training for nursing and ancillary staff.
• Contribute to curriculum development aligned with national standards and organizational priorities.
• Utilize adult learning principles and a variety of teaching strategies to optimize learning outcomes.
• Staff Development
• Partner with preceptors to monitor orientee progress and create individualized development plans.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership to identify learning needs and ensure competency validation, including age-specific care requirements.
• Proactively address the educational needs of perioperative and procedural staff.

Qualifications

• Education
• Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) required, or currently matriculated.
• Licensure
• Active Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Certifications
• Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Experience
• Minimum of five (5) years of perioperative nursing experience.
