This position involves working in a behavioral health environment. The unit is state-of-the-art, having been established three years ago. The staff is experienced and the facility boasts the lowest restraint rate in the region. This role provides an excellent work environment, complemented by an internal medical group for addressing medical concerns. There is a full team of rehabilitation staff available for group programming.
Social work staff and psychiatrists are also part of the unit's team. The unit has 46 beds with a patient ratio of 1:9 for RNs. Required patient population includes adults 18 and over with a history of legal issues. Candidates should possess a trauma-informed approach to care and demonstrate compassion. Flexibility and the ability to adjust to changing patient needs are essential.
Confidence and the ability to communicate effectively with others are crucial for success in this role. Preferred education is a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Dress code includes wearing blue scrubs. Unacceptable attire includes open-toed shoes and provocative or tight clothing.
