Behavioral Health Registered Nurse
As a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse, you will provide planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. You will develop nursing care plans in coordination with the patient, family, and interdisciplinary staff as necessary. You will communicate changes in the patient's clinical condition with physicians, nursing supervisors, managers, and co-workers as appropriate.
You will participate in the discharge planning process. Common diagnoses include schizophrenia, depression, bipolar disorder, substance use disorder, and anxiety. The patient population includes geriatrics, pediatrics (ages 5-17), and adults. The facility has a total of 104 beds across various units with variable patient ratios.
Experience:
Minimum 1 year in an inpatient psychiatric setting License:
Current state licensure as Registered Nurse / RN
Certifications:
BLS, HWC Must-Have Skills/
Experience:
Previous behavioral health experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting Willingness to work with both adult and pediatric populations
