Asset Protection Specialist

Position Type:
Hourly Position. Starting at $19.00 per hour.

• Contribute to shortage reduction and investigations.
• Work closely with the General Manager to ensure all employees follow policies and procedures.
• Maintain the employee entrance, including tracking all packages delivered except normal scheduled shipments.
• Conduct store physical security checks and recommend measures to prevent loss.
• Perform figure 8’s in store and continually move throughout store operations.
• Provide a visual presence at the entrance/exit with courteous, professional interaction with customers.
• Conduct safety inspections and communicate hazards to store management.
• Greet customers as a Five Below associate.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of retail loss prevention or related experience.
• Basic understanding of retail or security.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer service skills.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of staff and management.
• Can stand/walk sales floor for up to 8 hours at a time.
• Can lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
• Regular time and attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Ability to work independently.
• Full understanding of Five Below policy and procedure.
• General product knowledge in key departmental areas.
• Ability to work nights and weekends appropriately to retail business needs.
