Join us as a Full Time Security Officer!

Full Time, 40 hours. 5:15 am-1:45 pm. Typically Monday-Friday.

As a Security Officer for Mira Vista in Holyoke, Massachusetts, you will perform general security work in the protection of persons, property and the enforcement of all applicable policies, rules and regulations of the department and any applicable federal, state, and local laws to prevent losses due to accidents and incidents. You will open the facility, man the metal detector, check IDs, maintain order in the facility, assist with crowd control, observe the parking lot, and document combative behavior.

You will provide for the safety and security of all persons and property for patients, visitors, and staff on the hospital campus. You will respond appropriately and carry out proper procedures for the Emergency Operations Plan, Security Operation Plan, and Emergency Codes.

Security Officers will have the following:

• High school Diploma
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in security or police functions
• Excellent depth perception, and side vision
• Must be free of night blindness and be able to listen and hear machinery sound changes, whistles, cries for help, screams, alarms, and traffic noises
• Candidates must be able to produce a concise and accurate report
• Must be physically able to assist with the restraint of patients during crisis intervention and be able to problem solve on an independent basis

Pay Range

Compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience.

$17.00 - $18.40
