The opportunity:
As a Sprinkler Service Technician, you will ensure our customers’ fire sprinkler systems are ready when needed. You will inspect, test, service, and troubleshoot wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge systems with a focus on reliability, compliance, and clear communication. This is a field-based role with a mix of planned service, repairs, and occasional emergency calls.
- Service, test, inspect, and troubleshoot both basic and complex fire sprinkler systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs with accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail.
- Identify issues where systems are not working properly or not meeting current code requirements and recommend fixes or upgrades.
- Coordinate with contractors, building maintenance staff, and internal office teams to schedule and complete service calls.
- Document findings, recommendations, and repairs in line with company expectations and NFPA standards.
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergency service requests when needed.
- Follow all safety procedures and conduct yourself professionally on every job site.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or industry-related experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of fire sprinkler systems, components, and common tools used to service them.
- Familiarity with NFPA codes and general fire protection standards.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and system drawings.
- Strong communication and documentation skills for use with customers and internal teams.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights of 30 feet or more.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within your assigned territory.
- Experience operating lifts and an understanding of OSHA safety practices.
- Professional, team-oriented mindset with a consistent focus on safety and quality.
- Three or more years of experience inspecting, servicing, or repairing fire sprinkler systems.
- NICET certification in water-based systems inspection, testing, or layout.
- Experience handling both routine inspections and more complex repair work.
- Ability to identify issues early, explain them clearly to customers, and follow through until resolution.
Salary is commensurate with experience, with a results-driven bonus opportunity. Expected hourly range: $30–$50 per hour.
