Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our team. In this position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal functioning and appearance of our facilities. Your keen eye for detail and proactive approach to solving maintenance issues will help us maintain a safe and comfortable environment for all.
- Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment to identify potential maintenance issues.
- Perform a wide range of repair tasks, including plumbing, painting, carpentry, and HVAC system maintenance.
- Address and resolve maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain inventory and ensure the proper functioning of tools and equipment.
- Collaborate with management to plan and execute preventative maintenance schedules.
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency and compliance with safety standards.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and report on performance to the management team.
- Proven experience as a maintenance worker, technician, or other similar roles.
- Knowledge of plumbing and HVAC systems helpful but not required.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to lift heavy objects and perform tasks that require crouching or standing for extended periods.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends; possible evenings if necessary.
- A valid driver's license required, depending on the location and specific job requirements.
- Applicant must be at least 18 years old.
- Willing to train the right person on certain skills necessary but some experience is required.
