Bi-Lingual Employment & Training Specialist 2 (Full Time) – Holyoke, MA | $24.76/hr + $40 bi‑weekly stipend for second language | Mandatory sign‑on bonus: $500 ($250 after first week of training and $250 after 90 days)
SummaryThe Employment Specialist works directly with individuals with disabilities to support them in obtaining and maintaining competitive integrated employment. This position carries an active caseload and provides individualized, person‑centered employment services, including career exploration, job development, placement, and ongoing follow‑along support. The specialist collaborates with participants, employers, and service providers to identify strengths, address barriers to employment, and promote long‑term job success.
Responsibilities- Maintain active caseload and provide individualized support to participants.
- Conduct career exploration, job development, placement, and follow‑along support.
- Collaborate with participants, employers, and service providers to identify strengths and address employment barriers.
- Engage in employer outreach, job coaching, and advocacy for workplace accommodations.
- Maintain accurate documentation to track progress and ensure compliance with program requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree with at least one year of experience providing employment services to individuals with developmental disabilities or other employment barriers; or an associate’s degree with two years of related experience; or a high school diploma, GED, or HiSET with three years of relevant experience.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word, data entry, email, and internet usage.
- Valid driver’s license, good driving record, willingness to transport participants in personal vehicle, and ability to travel within the region.
- Fluency in Spanish required.
