About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Shared Living Caregiver to provide in‑home placement for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our Shared Living program. This role is ideal for someone who is committed to helping individuals thrive in their communities by supporting their independence, health, and overall quality of life.
Candidates must live in Franklin, Hampshire, or Hampden County, MA.

- 24‑hour emergency on‑call support
- Full training provided including Medication Management, CPR/First Aid, Home Safety Skills, Mandated Reporting, and Human Rights

- Assist and monitor daily living activities while encouraging independence, competency, and decision‑making.
- Monitor overall health and well‑being and provide support with medication treatment and related documentation.
- Deliver crisis intervention and emergency support as needed.
- Initiate and encourage community activities and foster social support networks.
- Promote quality of life through empowerment, safety awareness, dignity, and respect.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Appropriate accommodations to meet the individual's living needs.
- Understanding and supportive of individuals with disabilities.
- Must pass a criminal background check, driving record check, and home assessment.
- Commitment to individual empowerment, human rights, and community integration.
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle preferred.
Shared Living Caregivers come from all walks of life. You may be single, part of a couple, part of an extended family, have children and pets, and be experienced or not. All you need is a spare bedroom and a genuine desire to make a difference.
