Salary and Benefits
Salary: £32,000 per annum plus £50 per sleep‑in when required.
Location:
Brynford, Flintshire (accessible from Chester via the A55).
Contract:
Permanent Full‑time, 37 hours per week.

About the ServiceTy Cariad is a three‑bed therapeutic residential home in North Wales, near Hollywell. It supports children and young people aged 7‑17 who have experienced early childhood trauma, providing a safe, nurturing environment for growth.
Role OverviewWe are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Team Leader Residential to help shape the service from the ground up. You will lead a team of Residential Support Workers, set the tone for a positive, child‑centred home, and deputise for the Registered Manager in their absence.
Responsibilities- Provide direct line management to a team of residential staff to deliver high standards of care.
- Support young people to achieve positive outcomes.
- Prepare for and participate in Multi‑Disciplinary Team meetings.
- Advocate for the wellbeing of the young people.
- Lead and assess staff, carrying out supervisions, appraisals and risk assessments.
- A Level 3 Social Care Diploma is essential;
Level 4 Leadership and Management qualification desirable. - Experience in a senior role in a children’s home, residential short breaks or children’s services.
- Experience supporting staff through QCF, AWIF and induction.
- Knowledge of the RISCA (Wales) Act 2016, Social Services (Wales) Act 2014 and key H&S legislation.
- Flexibility to work shifts.
