Located on the outskirts of Belfast City, the 18th century estate features 12 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, a palatial spa, restaurants, and 98 bedrooms, requiring a high standard of maintenance.

The successful candidate can expect to work mainly daytime hours and must be available to work alternate weekends on a rota basis.

This full-time position offers a salary of up to £25,000 per annum. We are also open to discussing the role on a part-time basis, ideally 3 or 4 days per week. The salary for part-time work will be pro-rata the full-time equivalent.

About The Role

  • To assist with routine and remedial work to ensure equipment and facilities are maintained.
  • To assist with ensuring adequate and appropriate spares and parts stock and records are kept up to date.
  • To assist in ensuring all emergency equipment is maintained and in working order.
  • To ensure that emergency procedures are effective, implemented, and appropriate training is carried out.
  • To assist with the maintenance of a safe environment in compliance with health, safety, fire, hygiene and security legislation and company polices and procedures.
  • To assist with effective communication and relationships with other hotel departments, suppliers and agencies to maintain an effective operation and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • To assist in promoting and encouraging a harmonious working environment where all staff are treated with respect and dignity.
  • Any other duties as required by management.

Required Criteria

  • A right to work within the United Kingdom
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good communication, numeracy and IT skills
  • Educated to Level 2 (GCSE Grades A-C) or the equivalent in English and Mathematics
  • Previous experience in a relevant role such as maintenance person, tradesperson, caretaker, or facilities
  • Previous experience gained within a commercial building

Desired Criteria

  • Previous experience in a Hotel setting or other hospitality environment
  • Qualifications and/or experience in a trade such as joinery, plumbing, or electrical

Prioritisation, Problem Solving, Risk Assessments, Exceptional Customer Service Skills
