Gen Ed Teacher - Homer Glen, Illinois

Embark on a dynamic opportunity as a General Education Teacher in a supportive junior high setting for the upcoming academic year. This contract position offers a full-time schedule, running from August 26, 2026, through June 3, 2027, with standard working hours from 7:30AM to 2:21PM. You will serve at the junior high level, focusing on fostering academic growth and creating a positive learning environment.

• Valid and active teaching certification and licensure in Illinois
• CTE (Career and Technical Education) endorsement required
• Previous experience in a school-based setting
• Strong classroom management skills and a collaborative mindset
• Ability to meet the diverse needs of middle school students
• Comfortable with conducting a 30-minute interview as part of the selection process

• Deliver engaging and effective instruction to junior high students
• Develop lesson plans aligned with state standards and school curriculum
• Assess and track student progress, providing timely feedback and support
• Cultivate a classroom environment that supports inclusion and safety
• Collaborate with fellow educators, administrators, and families
• Participate in school events, professional development, and department meetings
• Maintain student records and adhere to school policies and timelines
