Candidates will be evaluated on suitability of their academic preparation, past teaching experience, and potential for providing high quality instruction to undergraduate students.
Expertise and experience relevant to the effective teaching of the subject.
This recruitment is for the Kachemak Bay Campus Lecturer Pool. Individual instructors will be chosen from the pool on a semester by semester basis based on a department's needs.
Sufficient experience to convey the knowledge of the subject matter to college students.
Minimum Qualifications:
For academic areas, such as the arts, sciences, humanities and social sciences, adjunct instructors should have a Master's degree in the discipline or related subject area.
Career/technical education adjunct instructors must have a Bachelor's degree or extensive expertise in the subject area.
* Successful applicants must provide official transcripts documenting academic credentials required for the position as a condition of employment. Qualifying earned degrees must be conferred either by institutions of higher education which are accredited by one of the six US regional accrediting associations or by an equivalent international institution of higher education as determined by UAA based on a review by a foreign educational credential evaluation service and recognized by UAA.
Position Details:
This position is located on the Kachemak Bay Campus in Homer, Alaska. Adjunct positions are on a semester-by-semester basis. Successful acceptance into the adjunct pool does not guarantee an offer of a contract. Individual instructors will be chosen from the pool on a semester-by-semester basis based on the department's needs.
This is a pooled position, applications are reviewed as needed. Submission of an application does not guarantee review or a job offer.
Salary Information:
Adjunct positions are union represented employees and will be paid according to the salary table approved by the CBA. Non-credit adjunct positions are not represented employees and salary is based on expertise and experience.
