Position Overview

This position involves face‑to‑face or online instruction of courses in support of programs at the Kachemak Bay Campus of Kenai Peninsula College.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate course instruction to undergraduate students, using effective teaching methods suited to both in‑person and online environments.
  • Convey subject‑matter knowledge clearly and thoroughly to college students.
  • Collaborate with department faculty on curriculum development, assessment, and continuous improvement of teaching practices.
Qualifications
  • For arts, sciences, humanities, and social sciences adjunct instructors: a Master’s degree in the discipline or related subject area.
  • For career/technical education adjunct instructors: a Bachelor’s degree or extensive expertise in the subject area.
  • Official transcripts documenting academic credentials must be provided; qualifying degrees must be conferred by accredited institutions.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without restriction.
Position Details
  • Location:

    Kachemak Bay Campus, Homer, Alaska.
  • Adjunct positions are semester‑by‑semester; placement is based on departmental needs and performance.
  • Salary:
    Union‑represented adjunct positions paid according to the salary table approved by the CBA; non‑credit adjunct positions paid based on expertise and experience.
  • Background check required; employment contingent upon completion of the check.
