JOB SUMMARY

The Wellsite Supervisor is the key company representative at the well site to ensure the operations are performed as per the approved Operations Program, liaising with the person in charge.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Verify rig position/lease layout is as per Well Program.
  • Lead Pre-Spud meeting and/or a readiness to operate before spudding a well.
  • Ensure operations are conducted in accordance with the Company SMS and D&C EHS Bridging Document.
  • Verify barriers are in place and tested as applicable in accordance with TS5 (Onshore) Barrier.
  • Oversee that equipment and services supplied by contractors are fit for service and as per contract.
  • Ensure third‑party contractor lifting equipment is supplied with the certification requirements specified in the contract.
  • Validate that hole fill volume is correct and hole conditions are acceptable.
  • Ensure pressure testing and recording of tests are conducted per Well Program.
  • Review and validate the execution of and results from formation integrity tests or leak‑off tests.
  • Ensure cement and displacement volumes are properly calculated, and cement jobs are carried out in accordance with the Well Program or supplementary program.
  • Provide oversight to ensure drilling and completion fluid properties are in accordance with the Well Program.
  • Monitor logging operations, including checking weak-point tension limit, cable tension limit, and tool weight in mud before entering open hole; ensure logging tension is checked in open hole section as per wireline protocol.
  • Observe depth control during drilling, logging, slickline work and pipe severing/back off.
  • Ensure proper fluid displacement when changing fluid systems.
  • Oversee proper landing of casing, tubing and other completion operations including setting of packers.
  • Lead operation activities to ensure they are carried out in accordance with facilities interface plan.
  • Observe proper abandonment or suspension of wells, including seabed or location clean‑up.
  • Review well handover documents to ensure they are complete and accurate.
  • Complete well control tests and exercises per Well Program and Well Control Bridging Document.
  • Maintain that crew competency is fit for operations.
  • Ensure communications and authority handover protocols are followed.
  • Observe well status at beginning and end of operations, including information such as leak‑off tests, casing pressure tests, etc.
  • Support AES zero‑incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
  • Other duties will be assigned to this position as needed.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
  • 10+ years of experience working as a Wellsite Supervisor/leader.
  • Working knowledge of drilling and production operations.
  • Working knowledge of oilfield equipment and services.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Valid Well Control Certificate.

The role requires compliance with the ASRC Energy Driving Records and Motor Vehicle Use Policy, a pre‑employment drug test (urinalysis and hair testing), and a post‑offer pre‑hire Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE).
