Job Description
Summary of Position: This position supports the Housekeeping Manager in all operational and supervisory aspects belonging to that title, including fulfilling the role of Housekeeping Manager in their absence. The position emphasizes close coordination and communication with the Hotel Housekeeping Manager, the Lodges Housekeeping Manager and with the Assistant Rooms Division Manager. This position directly oversees all staff, including Storekeepers, Floor Supervisors, and the lead trainer to ensure appropriate staffing levels and supervision of daily cleaning of both rooms and common areas.
The Assistant Housekeeping Manager will perform certain functions as assigned, including new hire and onboarding paperwork; weekly scheduling; staffing forecasts, ordering of supplies, room security and key control; and reviews of timesheets and payroll preparation.
Essential Functions
Assist the Housekeeping Manager in every way possible in the execution of those duties.Enforce Land's End Housekeeping Department standards, as developed from time to time.Oversee management of housekeepers, storekeepers, supervisors and early clean (Janitorial}.Assist with screening, interviewing, and hiring of housekeeping personnel and with preparation of onboarding paperwork, including new hire checklist and training expectations.Perform the roles of all Departmental job descriptions, as required, due to absenteeism or other emergencies.Assist with assembling data required to produce GM-required reports, including schedules, linen inventory, deep cleaning schedule, and housekeeping efficiency reports.Ensure smooth daily workflow by: coordinating room moves, lost & Found items, small maintenance tasks, employee breaks and lunch; by prioritizing and assigning tasks.Assist with maintaining personnel records, including tracking of anniversary raises and training.Generate work orders on FiiX;
Order supplies and code, post and file invoices.Proactively identify and address internal AND external customer concerns.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to type; to use network file storage and PMS Software; and MS Word and Excel.Ability to perform the duties of all Departmental job descriptions.Ability to handle conflict; to remain calm under pressure; and to act professionally at all times.#J-18808-Ljbffr
