SummaryProcess seafood product by performing the following duties:
- Clean, scrap, trim, and fillet product.
- Open and remove raw materials and place them on belts.
- Segregate product on conveyor belt or table by grade, color, and size, and place it in containers or on designated conveyors.
- Discard cull (inferior or defective) items and foreign matter.
- Pack product in boxes, barrels, baskets, cans, totes, or crates for storage or shipment.
- Operate machine(s) to move live or packed seafood from one location to another.
- Review workspace for cleanliness and safety.
Note:
Seafood processors residing in Trident housing will be subject to a co‑pay of fifteen dollars per day for room and board for each day that at least eight hours of work is offered.
- Perform other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.
- Acquire knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and following designated work activities.
- Notify designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and Safety training.

Minimum Requirements- Must be a current or former Trident Seafoods employee.
- Reliable work history required; no specific experience required.
- Experience in the seafood industry, food processing, agriculture, field work, or production/manufacturing is preferred.
No specific prior education or training required.
Special Training/SkillsAbility to read a limited number of two‑ and three‑syllable words, recognize similarities and differences between words and number series; ability to print and speak simple sentences; basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) with single and double‑digit numbers; ability to use units of American money, weight, volume, and distance.
Work EnvironmentEmployee will be regularly exposed to wet, humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, extreme cold, high or precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather, electrical shock, vibration, and loud noise. May need to distinguish shades of color to identify abnormalities or defects in food products.
Physical DemandsRegularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, feel, or reach; occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; must regularly lift or move up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Requires distance vision and depth perception.
Mental ActivitiesRegular teamwork, occasional interpersonal and customer service skills, basic math, reading, speaking, and writing English; frequent need to understand English.
