Quality Control, Reliability, and Safety (QCRS) Inspector – Anchorage, Alaska – Non‑Exempt, Full‑Time, Day Shift – $36.91/hour
The QCRS Inspector is responsible for executing the site QC, Reliability, and Safety plan through direct field engagement, process improvement, and team collaboration. The role ensures safe, reliable, high‑quality infrastructure and operations that meet or exceed contract requirements.
Responsibilities- Report to the QCRS Manager for QC and Reliability to verify full safety requirements during execution.
- Conduct work orders, projects, and asset inspections, including QC, reliability, and safety aspects.
- Complete inspections of both maintenance work orders and repair/construct projects as defined in the contract.
- Leverage mobility for grading, shop/client collaboration, and follow‑up actions.
- Assess asset reliability and identify improvement needs such as preventive maintenance changes.
- Follow the Performance Work Statement (PWS) processes for trade‑based inspections, daily reports, subcontractor inspections, and related tasks.
- Inspect safety compliance for in‑house maintenance work and subcontractor work, integrating safety inspections with the overall process.
- Perform root‑cause analysis, participate in asset criticality, Reliability‑Centered Maintenance, and PM optimization events.
- Support shop‑led defect elimination programs and asset condition monitoring using infrared, acoustic, and vibration tools.
- Read and understand design sketches, maintenance, and construction standards.
- Document daily inspection results using the inspection program and/or forms; verify all contract requirements are met.
- Solicit customer surveys during inspections of predetermined or randomly selected completed work orders.
- Maintain excellent relationships with customers, employees, and management; troubleshoot customer complaints and initiate corrective action plans.
- Assist the Quality Manager in developing a wide variety of employee skills for efficient and thorough quality control reporting.
- Travel to off‑site locations for job duties and other company interests.
- Adhere to established QCR, Safety, ISO processes, standards, and SOPs, ensuring contractual compliance.
- Three (3) years of maintenance or construction experience at a supervisor level (preferred).
- Associate’s degree in building and maintenance technology (preferred).
- Industry‑recognized Quality Control Certification (preferred).
- Acoustic or Thermography Level1 certification (preferred).
- Certified Reliability Leader (CRL) or CMPR certification required within 2 years of hire.
Ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods, with or without assistance: lift/move up to 45pounds; reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours; climb in and out of a vehicle and up/down stairs. Persistence under pressure for extended periods is required.
Additional RequirementsValid state driver’s license; REAL‑ driver’s license, U.S. passport, or military federal military installation access. Ability to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. Background check and E‑Verify will be conducted.
