The Waste & Recycle Driver in Denali National Park has a Class A CDL and operates a tractor trailer, 1‑ or 2‑ton truck, or other large vehicle. Drivers are expected to provide efficient, consistent, safe, and timely service, handling garbage trucks, tow trucks, hauling trailers, and transporting supplies to designated locations.

• Complete a daily vehicle inspection form before driving.
• Work with recycle workers to move recycled items (plastic, cardboard, trash, glass, aluminum, straps) from park disposal locations to the recycling shed.
• Assist in sorting recycled materials when requested.
• Maintain a pleasant and clean vehicle environment.
• Utilize all safety equipment and always wear a seat belt.
• Operate garbage truck, tow truck, hauling trailers, and 1‑ or 2‑ton trucks transporting supplies and equipment.
• Drive defensively, safely, and cautiously at all times.
• Provide exceptional customer service to guests, representing Aramark and Denali National Park positively.
• Fuel, clean, and inspect the vehicle as required; report malfunctions to the Transportation Office.
• Complete all vehicle log books, including rider‑ship information log.
• Coordinate with the Transportation Office dispatcher on special requests.
• Serve as a warehouse driver, transporting and delivering equipment and supplies when needed.
• Use SDS sheets and safety books, reading and applying information when necessary.
• Identify maintenance and safety issues and take corrective actions.
• Maintain a positive attitude and be willing to help wherever needed.
• Attend all scheduled department and safety meetings.
• Comply with all company policies regarding safety, security, emergencies, and energy.
• Report to work on time and in complete uniform.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Know and comply with environmental aspects and impacts communicated during EMS training.

• One year (non‑consecutive) CDL driver experience required.
• Age 23 years or older.
• Effective written and spoken English communication.
• Valid Commercial Driver License (Class
  
  A), preferably with passenger endorsement and a clean driving record showing five years of safe driving.
• Pass a DOT physical examination and obtain a medical card.
• Pass a pre‑employment drug/alcohol test and participate in the random drug/alcohol testing program.
• Complete and pass a Defensive Driving Course prior to operating a company vehicle (one year professional driving experience).
