Patient Service Representative @ Towncare Dental Associates of Homestead

Towncare Dental Associates of Homestead is looking for a Patient Service Representative in Homestead, FL to join our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction in a team-based environment. We provide comprehensive, personalized care in a warm and welcoming setting, prioritizing patient comfort and advanced treatments for optimal oral health. Bilingual ability is a must for this position.

Overview

This position is for someone with a passion for providing outstanding customer service, a willingness to learn, and an interest in starting a career in the dental field. The person will support all staff members and patients in the office. Responsibilities include answering phones, handling patient inquiries, making appointments, and assisting with the completion of patients’ treatment plans through acceptable financial arrangements while being flexible with requests and projects assigned by other staff and/or the Office Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Customer service: greet patients upon arrival and dismissal, with a welcoming demeanor
  • Respond to patient questions and concerns according to practice policies
  • Answer telephones and manage inquiries
  • Schedule and maintain appointment book; confirm appointments
  • Follow up on no-shows and cancellations
  • Register patients on sign-in sheets
  • Post charges and payments to patient accounts
  • Check voicemail daily
  • Maintain a clean and friendly waiting area
Qualifications
  • Experience in a dental, medical, or health-care office is preferred
  • Knowledge of insurance plans (HMO/PPO) is a plus
  • Experience answering telephones
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
