We are seeking an experienced and passionate Child Care Director to lead our child care center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children, managing staff, and maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Leadership & Administration:
• Oversee the daily operations of the child care center, ensuring a high-quality, engaging, and safe learning environment.
• Develop and implement educational programs that align with state guidelines and support child development.
• Maintain compliance with all licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and accreditation requirements.
• Create and manage the center’s budget, including tuition collection and financial planning.
Staff Management & Development:
• Recruit, train, and supervise teachers and staff, fostering a positive and professional work environment.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and professional development.
• Ensure staff adhere to curriculum guidelines, safety protocols, and best practices in early childhood education.
Family & Community Engagement:
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, addressing concerns and providing updates on children’s progress.
• Develop strong relationships with families, fostering a welcoming and supportive community.
• Organize events, workshops, and activities that promote family involvement and community partnerships.
Health & Safety Compliance:
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-equipped facility that meets all health and safety regulations.
• Develop and enforce policies for emergency preparedness, illness prevention, and child protection.
• Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping, including attendance, incident reports, and staff certifications.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of child development principles, curriculum planning, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
