Nuclear Training Operations Instructor Senior

The Senior Instructor at Turkey Point supports a two-unit nuclear site in South Florida, delivering high-quality training that ensures operational excellence and regulatory compliance. This role plays a key part in developing and qualifying licensed operators and maintaining a high-performing training program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver classroom and simulator instruction to initial and continuing training students
• Support qualification of instructors, including classroom and simulator certification
• Prepare for and maintain Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) certification
• Evaluate student performance and provide coaching to improve outcomes
• Critique and continuously improve training materials, processes, and procedures
• Collaborate with operations to ensure training aligns with plant needs

Work Environment & Structure:
Approximately 60% classroom instruction, 30% simulator instruction, 10% material development. Position supports both initial and continuing training programs, reporting through program leadership to the Site Training Manager. Opportunity to take on increased leadership or program ownership over time.

Candidate Profile:
Former SRO with instructor certification and demonstrated instructional experience. Strong operational background with a passion for developing others. Proven ability to coach, influence, and drive performance improvement. High level of accountability and attention to detail. Previous Turkey Point (PTN) experience is a plus.
