Job Purpose

As a 3rd Grade Teacher, you will develop lesson plans consistent with established guidelines, build rapport with students, staff, and parents, and motivate learners to achieve their full potential. You will enable every student to develop the skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed for a strong educational foundation.

How You Will Impact Education
  • Plan and implement instruction that reflects the company’s philosophy, goals, and objectives as outlined in the adopted courses of study.
  • Create purposeful lesson plans that maximize time on task.
  • Present subject matter to maximize learning and provide real‑world, application‑based examples.
  • Review student records to tailor instruction to individual needs, maintaining accurate and complete records.
  • Strive to maximize the educational achievement of each student.
  • Use a range of learning modalities and differentiate instruction throughout lessons.
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments frequently, generating progress reports as required.
  • Refer students with suspected learning problems to appropriate support personnel.
  • Co‑ordinate class field trips as needed.
  • Prepare students for state‑required achievement assessments.
  • Stay current in subject‑matter knowledge and learning theory, sharing knowledge to improve curriculum.
  • Assist in curriculum revision, selection of instructional materials, and incorporation of supplemental services.
Providing a Classroom Environment Conducive to Learning
  • Create a learning environment that matches students’ maturity and interests.
  • Maintain positive rapport and demonstrate patience and nurturing support.
  • Keep the classroom clean, safe, and display student work appropriately; enforce conduct policies.
  • Establish clear rules in alignment with CSUSA policy, maintaining fair and consistent order.
Instructional Planning
  • Develop lesson plans aligned with guidelines and goals.
  • Plan individual or group activities that meet objectives and student needs.
  • Prepare for assigned classes and demonstrate preparation when requested.
  • Collaborate with staff during curriculum planning meetings.
  • Incorporate diagnostic information from Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Take precautions to protect supplies, equipment, and materials needed for instruction.
School/Community Relations
  • Build cooperative relationships and communicate with parents/guardians as appropriate.
  • Communicate clearly and positively with parents and colleagues across the school.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student records.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities that support a positive school culture.
