Project Manager - Nuclear-Level 4 - Lead (15+ Years)
This position is responsible for the completion of projects that support nuclear objectives. The successful candidate will manage and lead complex, long-term projects from conception to close-out, ensuring alignment with industry performance standards. This role requires leading projects that vary in resource requirements, functional interaction, scope, and timeframe, while maintaining project momentum and controlling costs to budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage high-impact nuclear engineering or construction projects, including plant modifications on safety-related systems.
- Lead projects to ensure completion by the scheduled date.
- Create plans, cost analyses, schedules, estimations, and reports to communicate project deliverables and status.
- Coordinate engineering, construction, and other functional resources to complete project objectives.
- Provide leadership to multidisciplinary technical staff and sign off on operational readiness and project completion.
- Lead and coach schedulers, cost engineers, and estimators regarding project significance.
- Manage all related project controls and systems to support project development tasks.
- Control and authorize projects with budgets up to a specified limit.
Required Qualifications
Education:
A BS Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field is required.
Experience:
A minimum of 15 years of nuclear experience is required, which includes at least 7 years in a leadership role.
Skills:
The position requires strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with P-6 and NEO.
- Strong skills in Excel.
- Previous high performance in related company organizations is a plus.
Additional Information
The position will require periodic travel to other nuclear sites to support outages or planned projects. The selected worker will require unescorted badge access into nuclear protected areas.
