  • Serves as the technical subject matter expert on HVAC chiller control systems; knowledge of Turbocor or centrifugal compressor control sequences is a strong added advantage.
  • Designs and develops graphical user interfaces (GUI) for unit controllers, local displays, and/or remote monitoring tools, ensuring intuitive and reliable operator interaction.
  • Leads interfacing and integration of Building Management System (BMS) communication (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, Lon Works), networking, and other high-level communication protocols between DB equipment and third-party systems.
  • Primarily responsible for electrical starter and control panel design, switch board fabrication, and oversight of manufacturing plant facilities.
  • Responsible for the installation and technical support of DDC controller-based hardware and software configurations and operation sequences.
  • Designs, develops, and supervises all aspects of electrical control systems, equipment, and machinery.
  • Prepares design documents (electrical data, drawings, operation manuals, etc.) for new and current product platforms.
  • Reviews factory orders for compliance with applicable standards, customer requirements, and sound engineering principles and practices.
  • Prepares documentation required for special/highly customized projects, including drawings, purchased part specifications, procedures, and bills of material.
  • Performs hands-on electrical panel testing, troubleshooting, procedures, and safety compliance.
  • Provides technical support to Sales/Marketing, Warranty Service, Quality Control & Production Departments, Associate Companies, and Customers as needed.
  • Provides technical mentorship and guidance to junior Electrical/Controls Engineers.
  • Assists the Purchasing Department in sourcing components and raw materials, providing specifications, and evaluating vendor quality.
  • Performs any other duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager or as detailed in company documents.
  • The Company may at any time, as deemed necessary, add or amend any of these job responsibilities.
Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements:
  • Strong background in the HVAC industry, especially chiller control systems; knowledge of Turbocor or centrifugal compressor control sequences is a strong added advantage.
  • Proficient in development and programming of DDC and/or PLC control logic.
  • Experience interfacing BMS communication protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, Lon Works), networking, and high-level communication between control systems.
  • Experience developing graphical user interfaces (GUI) for equipment control and monitoring.
  • Sound electrical engineering knowledge and practice.
  • Good written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Very proactive, innovative, team-player, analytical-minded; able to lead technical projects with minimal supervision.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5-8 years of relevant working experience, with a strong HVAC or related manufacturing background and demonstrated PLC/DDC programming skills.
  • Experience with Turbocor or centrifugal compressor control sequences is a strong added advantage.
  • Experience with BMS integration, networking, and GUI/HMI development strongly preferred.
  • Product safety certification process, ETL and AHRI relevant experience will be an added advantage.
