This position provides personal financial services to military service members and their families at assigned military installations. The role includes counseling, education, and financial management support across the military lifecycle.

• Conduct one‑on‑one financial counseling sessions with service members and their families.
• Consult with military commanders or other staff to address financial needs.
• Deliver briefings and presentations to groups on financial topics.
• Provide referral resources to participants outside of counseling sessions.
• Develop and distribute informational financial materials.
• Plan and coordinate Personal Financial Management classes and workshops, covering topics such as deployment, career events, and other military lifecycle stages.
• Respond to requests for age‑appropriate classes or seminars.
• Utilize virtual counseling or electronic communication methods (web‑based chat, video, etc.) as authorized by the OSD FINRED Program office.
• Manage duty‑to‑warn situations in accordance with Department of Defense protocols.
• Communicate with leadership and participate in individual and group supervision sessions, sharing trends and issues.
• Attend regular in‑services, training, quality‑improvement committees, and other contract activities as assigned.
• Perform additional duties as required by the contract or assignment.

• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• U.S. citizen who speaks fluent English.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish if required by the contract.
• Ability to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier2 security clearance.
• Must pass the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process.
• Must hold one of the following certifications:
  Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Associate’s degree plus 4 years of experience may be considered.
• High school diploma plus 6 years of experience may be considered.

• Salary range: $58,440 – $93,500 annually (based on national data; may vary by location).
• Eligible for short‑term incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.
