Aircraft Overhaul Leader

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) work leader and aircraft Dedicated Crew Chief over a crew of three or more workers/mechanics.

• Serve as a Work Leader/Dedicated Crew Chief of assigned aircraft, responsible for coordinating and/or overseeing maintenance, troubleshooting, positioning and servicing of the aircraft.
• Perform or oversee aircraft inspections including preflight, post flight, phase, acceptance, and other scheduled and unscheduled inspections.
• Provide technical supervision on production matters to all employees assigned to the crew/team, which may include active duty, ARTs, civilians and others.
• Utilizes safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Certify work produced under the USAF Technical Order Program.

• Preferred Military AFSC and Grade: 2A3 X3
• Incumbent may be required to fly in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty (TDY) assignments away from the normal duty station
• Required to meet and maintain Air Force Reserve requirements. Incumbent's regular assignments are primarily ART duties: however, the incumbent may be assigned some non-ART duties, generally not to exceed 30 percent of total responsibilities
• A secret security clearance must be obtained and maintained
• Males must be registered for Selective Service, see (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below)..gov
• This position is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program
• Must be a current member of the AF Reserve or willing/qualified to join
• Direct Deposit:

• This is a testing designated position (TDP). The incumbent is subject to random drug testing
• Incumbent maybe required to work overtime to meet workload demands. Performs uncommon tours of duty
• Position may require the incumbent to drive a motor vehicle. Valid driver's license may be required
