A Cannabis Flower Packaging Technician is responsible for the final stage of the cannabis cultivation process, where harvested cannabis flower buds are carefully and compliantly packaged for distribution and sale. This role ensures that products are properly labeled, sealed, and ready for the market.
Responsibilities- Prepare packaging materials, including jars, bags, boxes, and labels, according to product specifications.
- Inspect harvested cannabis flower buds for quality and consistency before packaging, ensuring they meet company standards.
- Accurately label cannabis flower products with all required information, including strain name, potency, weight, and warnings, in compliance with state and local regulations.
- Measure and weigh cannabis flower buds to ensure accurate dosing and packaging.
- Seal packaging containers using appropriate equipment, such as heat sealers or cappers, to maintain product freshness and safety.
- Maintain inventory records of packaging materials and finished products, notifying supervisors when supplies need replenishment.
- Operate packaging equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized packaging area, following sanitation protocols to prevent contamination.
- Ensure strict adherence to all local and state regulations governing the packaging and labeling of cannabis flower products.
- Keep accurate records of packaging activities for regulatory compliance and internal reporting.
- Participate in quality control checks to verify the accuracy and integrity of packaged products.
- Work collaboratively with other team members, including trimmers and quality control personnel, to meet production goals.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment (lifting, bending, standing for long periods). Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and adjust to different indoor climates.
- Knowledge of cannabis regulations and compliance requirements in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Attention to detail and precision in packaging and labeling tasks.
- Basic math skills for weighing and measuring product quantities.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and work in a regulated environment.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Starting wage: $15.00 per hour.

- Can actively pass a level two federal background check.
- Obtained a high school diploma, GED or equivalent.

- Can lift 50 lbs over head, stand for long periods of time, sit, bend, kneel, squat, etc. as necessary to get the job done.
