Job Overview: As a Harvest Technician, you will play a vital role in our cannabis cultivation and processing operations. Your primary responsibilities include harvesting whole plants, defoliating plants, and running the plants to processing rooms. You will follow strict biosecurity protocols, maintain sanitation standards, and report any pests or pathogens. This role demands a keen attention to detail, a sense of urgency, and the ability to meet production goals while upholding quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Harvest whole plants according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) with a focus on maintaining trichome integrity.
- Transport harvested plants to designated dry rooms efficiently.
- Conduct defoliation of cannabis plants without direct contact or cutting into the flowers.
- Meet productivity expectations per day of finished flower processed, depending on cultivar.
- Follow strict biosecurity protocols to prevent contamination.
- Maintain cleanliness of tools and personal hygiene to ensure a sanitized work environment.
- Scout for pests and pathogens, such as powdery mildew and botrytis.
- Promptly report any pest or pathogen issues to leadership.
- Work collaboratively with your team members.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned to contribute to the overall efficiency of the processing team.
- Team responsibilities may rotate on a day‑to‑day basis.
- Other tasks as assigned by management.
- A degree or certification in horticulture, agriculture, or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of plant biology, cloning techniques, and pest management preferred.
- Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment (lifting, bending, standing for long periods).
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and adjust to different indoor climates.
- Available for full‑time hours with occasional overtime (overtime optional).
- Adaptability to a fast‑paced production environment while maintaining quality and accuracy.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs accurately.
- Previous experience in cannabis cultivation, particularly in dry trimming, is preferred.
- Familiarity with different cannabis cultivars and the ability to adapt trimming techniques accordingly.
Starting wage: $16.00 per hour. The Flowery offers benefits, paid time off accruals and paid holidays to all full‑time employees.

- Actively pass a Level Two federal background check
- Obtain high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Flexible availability (please provide precise requests or restrictions in the application)
- Can lift 50 lbs over head, stand for long periods, sit, bend, kneel, squat, etc. as necessary to get the job done
