The #1 priority of this position is to care for ill, injured, disabled, and convalescent persons by rendering general nursing care.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, including IV meds, if certified.
• Take temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and determine progress of residents.
• Assemble and use such equipment as catheters, tracheotomy tubes, and oxygen suppliers.
• Evaluate residents' needs, condition, and care and assist in developing nursing care plan for individual residents.

Qualifications include:

• Current Florida RN license.
• Experience in long-term care preferred.
• Must possess good communications skills, both verbal and written in English. Spanish preferred.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations.
• Basic math skills.
