** How This Role Works:*

** Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"):
** You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

** Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:
** In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

** Responsibilities:*
* + Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.

+ Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with post orders and company policy.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.

+ Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.

+ Complete detailed incident reports and document observations, activities, and/or responses while communicating with site contacts, local law enforcement, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.

* Minimum Requirements:

* + A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.

+ Hospital vaccine requirements must be met.

+ Must be willing to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.

+ Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.

+ Be at least 21 years of age.

+ Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.

+ Must have 2 or more years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
