Maintenance Assistant

Responsibilities

• General Maintenance and Repair
  :
  Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify potential issues.
• Repairs
  :
  Fix or replace faulty electrical switches, outlets, and circuit breakers, plumbing fixtures, and other building components.
• Preventive Maintenance
  :
  Perform routine maintenance to prevent future problems and ensure equipment runs smoothly.
• Record Keeping
  :
  Maintain detailed records of work performed, including materials used and time spent.
• Specialized Tasks
  • HVAC
    :
    Perform minor repairs and maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, coordinating with specialized tradespeople for major repairs.
  • Plumbing
    :
    Handle minor plumbing issues such as leaks, clogs, and fixture replacements.
  • Electrical
    :
    Address minor electrical repairs, such as replacing light bulbs or fuses.
  • Carpentry
    :
    Perform basic carpentry work like repairing doors, windows, and furniture.
  • Painting
    :
    Perform touch-up painting and minor repairs to building surfaces.
• Other Duties
  • Cleaning
    :
    Maintain cleanliness of buildings and grounds, including dusting, mopping, and trash removal.
  • Inventory
    :
    Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
  • Safety
    :
    Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
  • Communication

    Communicate with supervisors, colleagues, and clients regarding maintenance needs and work progress.
