Controller, Accounting, Accounting Manager

Our Client

Our client, a 100-year-old established and growing manufacturing company, is seeking an ambitious accounting professional to partner with the CFO and CEO as they upgrade systems and processes to support significant growth.

• Own day‑to‑day general ledger activities including journal entries, month‑end close, and accurate financial statements; directly supervise AP/AR and manage all core operations (cash, inventory, WIP, job costing, and payroll).
• Develop and refine cost accounting practices across manufacturing, service, parts, and equipment lines, ensuring accurate job costing, margin analysis, and inventory valuation.
• Lead weekly AR/AP and cash flow reviews with the owner and CFO advisor, providing visibility into collections, disbursements, and short‑term cash needs while supporting pricing models and cost reduction initiatives.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration; a CPA, CMA, and/or MBA is a plus.
• Minimum 4 years of progressive accounting experience in manufacturing (senior accountant, accounting manager, or controller level), with strong expertise in general accounting, cost accounting, inventory, job costing, and month‑end close.
• Experience supervising and mentoring a team.
• Experience and demonstrated interest in implementing AI and automated workflows is a plus.
