GI Alliance seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for a busy GI clinic and Endoscopy suite. The RN will provide professional nursing care, assess patients, plan and coordinate care, and serve as the primary liaison among patients, staff, and physicians.

• Provide general nursing care to patients within the GI clinic and Endoscopy suite.
• Perform infusion services, initiate and maintain intravenous lines, and administer medication and drug therapy.
• Triage patients, assess needs, document information in the medical record, and relay information to the physician and clinical team.
• Handle prescription calls and return calls to patients as directed by physicians.
• Maintain current knowledge of GI nursing and serve as a resource to junior staff.
• Protect patient confidentiality and clinic security.
• Perform additional clinical and administrative duties as assigned.

• Education: RN degree. BSN preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of two years professional nursing experience; clinic and gastroenterology experience preferred.
• Requirements: Current state registered nurse license and current CPR certificate.

• Knowledge of nursing processes, health care systems, and community resources.
• Understanding of health care technology, equipment, and supplies.
• Familiarity with state law on nursing care, nurse practice guidelines, and clinic policies.
• Knowledge of chart/medical record documentation requirements and federal/state laws related to release of health care information.
  
  Skill in time management, problem solving, multitasking, and medical care coordination.
• Ability to calculate and administer drug dosages and injections and measure results.
• Maintain quality control standards.
