The Carpet Shoppe, Inc. (TCS) is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee the daily accounting activities of the company and ensures accurate and timely processing of financial transactions. This position supervises the accounting staff, maintains accounting records, and supports management with financial data for internal decision-making. The role is hands-on and focuses on maintaining accuracy, consistency, and efficiency in the accounting process.

• Supervise the day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and post journal entries, account reconciliations, and schedules to support the month-end close.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
• Assist in preparing internal financial statements and reports for management review.
• Maintain accounting files, records, and documentation in compliance with company policy.
• Support the budgeting process by compiling and organizing financial data.
• Assist external auditors and tax preparers by providing documentation as requested.
• Monitor job costing and assist operations with cost reconciliations.
• Maintain vendor and customer records, ensuring accuracy of billing and payments.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline accounting workflows.
• Supervise and provide guidance to accounting staff on daily tasks and priorities.
