Accounts Payable Clerk

Description

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Accounting Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Honolulu, Hawaii. In this role, you will handle a variety of accounts payable tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in processing invoices and payments. This position requires strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to completing assignments promptly. Free parking provided!

Responsibilities:

- Process vendor invoices with accuracy, ensuring proper coding and documentation.

- Prepare and issue payments, including cutting checks and handling check runs.

- Reconcile activity postings to statements and maintain organized records.

- File invoices and other documents into vendor folders systematically.

- Handle client checks through e-capture, ensuring timely processing.

- Collaborate with team members to address discrepancies and resolve issues.

- Utilize software tools such as Excel, Outlook, and Deltek Ajera for efficient task management.

- Maintain a sense of urgency in completing tasks and prioritizing workload.

- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures in all activities.

Requirements

- Minimum of six months of general accounting experience, with preference for accounts payable expertise.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in all tasks.

- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.

- Demonstrated ability to work diligently and meet deadlines consistently.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

- Experience with answering phones is required.

- Familiarity with Deltek Ajera or similar accounting software is a plus.

- Ability to analyze and reconcile financial data accurately.

- Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and vendors.
