Job SynopsisThis multi‑series definition applies to all classes of positions. The primary duties are to advise, administer, supervise or perform professional auditing work for the purpose of reviewing and appraising the adequacy of accounting and related management controls within governmental agencies, ensuring an adequate accounting and reporting system, income and unemployment tax compliance by individuals and businesses, rate‑making for public utilities and transportation forms, and other related auditing functions.
AuditorV
Supervises and participates in field audits of governmental books of accounts, business entities, regulated public utilities and transportation companies, etc. Assumes complete charge of a team of auditors engaged in an extensive or complicated audit, prepares financial exhibits and audit reports, and performs other duties as required.
Qualifications- Legal Authorization to Work: United States citizen, national, permanent resident alien, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four‑year college or university with at least 12 semester credit hours in accounting or auditing subjects.

Education:- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (BAcc) with major in accounting or equivalent coursework.
- Master’s degree in Accounting (MAcc) or equivalent coursework.
- Specialized
Experience:
Four (4) years of progressively responsible professional auditing experience for Level V, demonstrating knowledge and application of generally accepted professional accounting and auditing principles, standards, theory, and practices. - Supervisory Aptitude: For Level V, supervisory aptitude may be accepted in lieu of actual supervisory experience when strong affirmative evidence exists.
- Driver’s License: Some positions require possession of a valid driver’s license at the time of appointment.
- Substitutions Allowed: Relevant substitutions as described in the Minimum Qualification Requirements may apply.
Level V – $6,043 to $7,351 per month (SR-24, Step D to I). Hiring rates will be based on availability of funds, applicant qualifications, and other relevant factors.
